Trump denies attempt to hide warship – but admits making the US constitution disappear

President Trump has hit out at Sadiq Khan’s stance on knife crime, saying the London Mayor is ‘a disaster’.

The Donald said knife crime in London could be ‘significantly reduced’ if the UK were to relax their gun laws.

‘It’s proven that if you allow people to kill from a distance, they’re far less likely to stab someone.’ He said. ‘If you look at all deaths in the US over the past few years it’s clear that shooting people is far more popular in the US than it is in the UK, where successive governments seem to have gone out of their way to make things difficult for potential killers.’

Retweeting a post by right-wing commentator Katie Hopkins about this weekend’s violence in London, the president said the capital needs a new mayor.

He went on to say that he’d choose Rambo, and that he’d give him ‘a great gun, a huge one’ and allow him free reign to shoot anybody ‘but particularly lefties, immigrants and poor people.’

The president has been a vocal supporter of the NRA and rejected calls for stronger gun laws in the US.

Asked about his own record on violent crime and the fact that the murder rate in America far outweighs that of the UK he said, ‘But guns don’t kill people, people kill people’.

He went on to say, ‘Knife crime is the same. Knives don’t kill people, Sadiq Kahn kills people.’
