Trump finally vows to take Coronavirus seriously as price of US oil plummets

World News
'No offence taken,' says Trump as he orders nuclear strikes against UK, Canada and France

The price of US oil has turned negative for the first time in history.

Causing Donald Trump to finally take Coronavirus seriously.

Demand for oil has all but dried up as lockdowns across the world have kept people inside.

And the president has suggested that maybe ‘we could at least just send some poor people on long journeys’ to drive up demand.

Over 40,000 US citizens have died from the Covid-19 since the outbreak.

But Trump said he’s ‘not really bothered about those’ and has insisted that he wants the lockdown lifted across America as that will ‘get the economy moving and help keep Donald J Trump rich.’

The drop means that oil producers are now paying buyers to take the commodity off their hands.

Congress are currently trying to explain to the president the concept of paying something to someone without trying to bribe them. So far, they’ve managed to drum into him the fact that his personal wealth is lower than it once was and that it’s somehow the fault of something that comes from another country. Having taken in so much information the president displayed symptoms of being overawed and the decision was taken to rest him for the evening.
