Donald Trump has called Justin Trudeau ‘two faced’ and refused to hold a press conference with the Canadian PM.
The announcement came after US aides spent the best part of two days trying to explain the concept of face paint to the president.
In September, photos of a ‘blacked up’ Mr Trudeau emerged showing him at a fancy-dress party in 2001.
Since then Donald Trump has been reluctant to meet with him. A spokesman said the president had refused to meet Mr Trudeau as ‘he’d be fine with the white one, but if the black one turned up the president wouldn’t know whether to discuss climate change or ask for his shoes to be shined’.
Footage from the NATO summit held in Watford showed Mr Trudeau, UK PM Boris Johnson and French leader Emmanuel Macron discussing an impromptu press conference held by Mr Trump.
It’s alleged that the video shows Mr Trudeau mocking the US President and sources close to Trump say it was this that turned him against the Canadian. Mr Trump is said to be ‘suspicious of leaders who have charisma’ and ‘hates anyone who mocks him.’ Asked whether he was aware just how many of the 7.7bn people on the planet that includes, a spokesman said, ‘He does. And if you were laughed at by 7.7bn people every day, you’d probably be a complete dick too’.
