Tommy Robinson declared being jailed for contempt of court would be a ‘win’ for his cause,

saying, ‘these mugs’ll fund me anyway.’

In a video posted online he appealed for donations before going on to give his followers step by step instructions on how to lift their knuckles off the floor and open their wallets.

After being jailed last year the anti-Islam activist received hundreds of thousands of pounds in donations. And after opening a new fundraising page he told his backers ‘I need your help urgently – if you are able to help with anything whatsoever, please pledge your support.’

‘For just £3 a month, you can keep me in hate,’ he told viewers, ‘or for £10 I can deliver a copy of the Daily Mail to a racist family every day for a week. And of course, cream off a few quid for myself.’

Speaking ahead of his sentencing on Thursday he said, ‘the best thing they can do for our cause is send me to jail.’

That cause being to make Tommy Robinson as rich as possible without him having to ever do a day’s work.

Dave from Bridgend, who took part in last year’s ‘Free Tommy’ campaign said, ‘They can lock him up, but they can’t shut him up – I came up with that myself. Only he’d been freed by the time I thought of it. But now he’s back in court I’ve put my slogan out on social media, and I’ve asked for donations to my cause.

We asked Dave what his cause is, but he just looked at us blankly before declaring that so far 8 people have donated, and he hopes that when he hits double figures he’ll be able to buy 2 litres of Diamond White.
