Teenager Cori Gauff may be forced to pull out of Wimbledon as next match starts before she gets out of bed at midday

Teenager Cori Gauff has made it to the third round of Wimbledon and will play Slovenian tennis player, Polona Hercog, in the third round.

However, there are rumours that Cori Gauff will have to withdraw from the competition if it’s scheduled for before midday when she’ll still be in bed.

In the first round of the 2019 Wimbledon Tournament, 15-year-old Cori “Coco” Gauff beat Venus Williams in straight sets and went on to easily beat Magdalena Rybarikova.

But what really annoyed her opponents was that, as she played tennis with her right hand, she was simultaneously playing Pokémon Go in the other.

Having reached the third round of Wimbledon, Cori Gauff will receive at least £111,000.

Which means she now holds the record for the highest paid summer job in her class.

Cori Gauff’s school teachers have been really surprised at her success at Wimbledon this week, given how ill her parent’s sick note says she is.

This year, Wimbledon umpires have been banned from calling women players “Miss” or “Mrs”.

But they’ve checked and there’s nothing in the rules to stop them using the terms bird, babe and doll.
