Queens honours sees Feargal Sharkey recognised, for the first time since 1988

The Queen’s birthday honours have been announced and Oscar winning actress Olivia Coleman has been made a CBE, own-piss drinking outdoorsy man Bear Grylls has also been honoured.

Feargal Shakey was awarded an OBE. The lead singer of the undertones also had solo hits with A Good Heart, Listen to your Father and Loving you, but mainly A Good Heart.

“It’s nice to be recognised, the last time was in 1988 when someone thought I was Limahl” He might’ve said.

Other well-known names to be recognised include authors Lee Child and Joanna Trollope, singer Alfie Boe, Elvis Costello and ‘not as funny as he used to be’ Griff Rhys Jones

Rapper M.I.A is now an M.B.E

There were 1073 recipients including a golfer, a cricket skipper and a lady that plays netball but there were also some deserving people including charity workers, historians and women.

Most baffling was the man who invented Tunnock’s Teacakes.
