The Sunday Times reports today that two leading constitutional experts have warned the Queen could step in and play a role in the Brexit crisis.
Discussions over Prince Charles’s suggestion this morning that he would be happy to take control of Brexit instead were deferred over concerns that the Queen was choking on her corn flakes.
The paper passed to No 10 warns attempts by back-benchers to seize power from the government will “provoke damaging institutional conflict” and “may prompt the government to respond with countermeasures.”
This sounds like it is less to do with unlikely intervention of the Queen and more to do with the more probable scenario that the Daleks will invade and take control. Jacob Rees-Mogg claims that he’s had positive discussions with Davros over whether this could take place with the ever desperate ERG having come to the conclusion that it would be preferable to be ruled by the Daleks than the EU. Davros could make an acceptable replacement for Theresa May, being a croaky voiced leader who struggles to retain control over what he created.
This idea of Daleks taking over is very popular with Doctor Who fans world-wide as it fits in with Doctor Who continuity. In an episode from 1964, the Doctor lands in a future London to discover the Daleks are the masters. They have a plan to drill to the centre of the Earth so they can pilot it anywhere in the universe, so not only would this see the UK leaving the EU but the Solar System as well.
On 29th March, the day earmarked for Britain to leave the European Union, a church in Abergavenny held a special day of prayer for people concerned about Brexit.
Many Remainers are fast coming to the conclusion that the only way to avoid Brexit now is to pray to God, but are divided over which god to pray to. In an attempt to avert division, a democratic poll has been set up on the internet so that the decision can be made by Vladimir Putin. The current lead runners in the poll are Y’golonac the Defiler, Cthulhu god of perversions and sinister impulses; Benedict Cumberbatch and Goddy McGodFace.
