PM cancels Chequers sleepover to avoid awkward conversations. Like “who’s bunking in with Boris?”

Plans for the ‘Brexit War Committee’ to spend an extra day and night at Chequers ahead of a meeting in which the full cabinet would discuss the Brexit white paper have been cancelled.

Those who believe this means she’s plotting a softer Brexit than the committee would like suggest it’s an attempt to avoid awkward conversations.

Conversations like ‘Who’s sharing with Boris’

Business secretary Greg Clark made his position clear yesterday, as he set out his vision for the “softest possible Brexit” yesterday.

It’s almost like he doesn’t actually want to leave the EU. Shocker.
