McCartney finally made it after receiving gold Blue Peter badge. Heather Mills already filed a suit for one 6th of the badge in alimony

He’s one of the most successful musicians in pop history, now Sir Paul McCartney says he has finally “made it” after being given a gold Blue Peter badge.

In an interview with the BBC, Sir Paul said “I’m thrilled. I’ve watched Blue Peter for years, mainly for Ringo. It’s his favourite show, but none of us are strangers to sticky-back plastic!”

According to McCartney, being a fan of the naval inspired program was in fact a strict requirement if you wanted to be part of The Fab Four. It’s rumoured that former Beatles drummer, Pete Best, was ordered to leave the group by George Harrison, after he discovered Best didn’t know how to make Papier-Mache, or who ‘Shep’ was.

“When Ringo’s incessant banging became too much, we’d often sit him front of Valerie Singleton for an hour, while we got some songs written” Said McCartney.

“One afternoon back in ’66, I remember he watched Peter Purvis make a submarine from an empty Fairy liquid bottle and an old fag packet. Ringo painted his one yellow, and well, the rest is history…”

Paul McCartney adds the Blue Peter accolade to a plethora of impressive awards…

…including seventeen Grammy’s, an Ivor Novello, and several “I’ve met The Met” police stickers.

Only a few gold Blue Peter badges are awarded each year.

It’s rumoured that Heather Mills has already filed a suit for one sixth of the badge to be carved off and paid to her as alimony.
