No Brexit extension and Boris could end up in jail. EU switches off lights, pretends nobody's home

Boris Johnson could go to jail if he refused to get a Brexit extension from the European Union if a court orders him to.

This news was met with jubilation from opposition MPs, Conservative MPs, members of the European Parliament and members of Johnson’s own family – including some of his many ‘nephews’.

A motion passed by the Commons requiring the PM to seek a deal is expected to be made law on Monday. If it is not followed it could result in legal action.

However, it would appear that Johnson will struggle even if he follows the motion as the EU has stopped answering the phone. The one time he did get through a voice sounding suspiciously like that of Jean-Claude Juncker putting on an accent claimed it was the wrong number.

A British court could also rule that a different figure in government has to authorise the extension instead of the Prime Minister.

They would likely face the same issues. When a representative turned up in Brussels recently they discovered that all of the lights had been turned off and nobody was answering the door. Curiously, people could still be heard moving around and whispering inside. Eventually a woman appeared claiming to be Donald Tusk’s Mum and saying he couldn’t come out because he was grounded. The woman in question was visibly younger than Mr Tusk.

Johnson has said asking for an extension is something he ‘will never do’.

Judging by his previous promises this means exactly fuck all.
