The EU have been told they must ‘compromise’ if a Brexit deal is to be agreed.
Yes, a government who have resolutely refused to compromise with even themselves since 2016 are now demanding that a body of 27 member states immediately compromise with them.
The multi-agendaed government, UK plc, have suggested that the ball is now in the court of the EU to say ‘Yes’ to all the questions that it’s not actually asked.
The UK have spent the last three and a half years, stoutly disagreeing about anything and everything regarding Brexit, with not a single member of the government in agreement over anything at all.
The prime minister says he has delivered a “constructive and reasonable” plan to Brussels.
The plan is a Post-It note saying ‘Deal with it’.
Mr Johnson says ‘Now it’s the EU’s turn’.
Meaning, of course, now they have to compromise by accepting they have to ‘Deal with it’, even though that doesn’t actually even mean anything.
But, don’t worry, the ERG and their mates have put a massive bet on the fall in the pound, so everyone that matters will be okay, whatever happens.
Except the rest of us.
