President Trump has decided he might as well be married to someone who holds the same racist views that he does.
Earlier this month Trump retweeted a tweet from Hopkins in which she praised a number of far-right politicians and said “the fightback by proud nations is on”. Then on Saturday he retweeted the British far-right commentator again to launch another attack on London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
“Katie Hopkins is just like me, in that she has been on The Apprentice, everyone loves her, she tells it like it is, and she hates brown people” he told White House press this morning.
“I’ve been married to Melania for years now and I have been the best husband to her, bigly, but she hasn’t touched ‘little Donald’ in ten years so it is time to ditch her and get a new wife, and Katie Hopkins is the obvious choice.
“I can also make her the UK’s ambassador to the US at the same time. I am so darn smart.”
Minutes before his latest jibe against Khan, Trump retweeted videos posted by Hopkins that supported the US president’s racist attacks on four US congresswomen.
Responding to his announcement, political commentator Eileen Tootherleft told us: “The thought of Trump being physically involved with any woman makes me feel sick, naturally, but this would actually be a pretty good match.
“Katie Hopkins is neither a teenager nor looks like his daughter Ivanka – two essential qualities he looks for in a partner – but they do share a fondness for racism and Islamaphobia. And she has shown that she is willing to do anything for money, so she’ll probably be up for it, too.”
One of the Congresswomen targeted by Trump last week, Ilhan Omar, has been a US citizen longer than his current wife Melania has, prompting many to question why he hasn’t also told her to ‘go home’.
“If we’re getting divorced then hopefully he’ll be saying that soon, thank heavens!” responded Melania.
