Bear Grylls blames bee sting for shocking face-lift

Bear Grylls suffered a life-threatening allergic reaction to a bee sting, after the insect struck him during filming of his latest series Treasure Island.

At least that’s the story, producers are sticking to. Bear was filming his latest special on a far-flung Pacific island, which is also the home of disgraced plastic surgeon Dr Ernest Feelgood. The Doctor had been credited with such atrocities as: Kim Kardashian’s arse, Simon Cowell’s face and Carol Vordermans’ entire body.

The broadcaster – who has an allergy to the winged pests – went into anaphylactic shock on a boat in the middle of nowhere when the incident took place.

An eyewitness told us in confidence, ‘Yes , we were on a boat – Dr Feelgood’s floating surgery. The shock was caused by Bear Grylls looking in the mirror after the face-lift operation, and then screaming, how the fuck am I going to explain this mess.’

Sailing a group of adventure junkies to the remote location of the new TV show at the time, the hard man attempted to soldier on with filming, only for medics to stop him on noticing how serious his reaction was.

The eyewitness continued, ‘the Medics stopped him because all the adventure junkies were scared shitless. It was like he had gone ten rounds with Freddy Kruger – and then put his head in the oven. That’s when a producer came up with the bee sting story idea. So we went with it, the only problem left were the witnesses. Shame really.

Bear Grylls – lone survivor, will air on Channel 4 next week.
