The godparents of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son are to remain a secret, Buckingham Palace has announced.
For fear of revealing that Dodi and Diana are still alive.
On Wednesday 3 July, a statement was released by the palace regarding the upcoming christening of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. In the announcement, it was stated that the christening is due to take place on Saturday 6 July in a small ceremony held in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle.
However, this would appear to be a distraction from where the real event will occur. According to Lord Lucan’s invite, the christening will take place in a chapel on a remote island in the pacific where Dodi and Diana have been living the last 22 years with their adopted daughter, Maddie McCann.
Archie’s great-grandmother, the Queen, is unable to attend because of a prior commitment.
However, the Duke of Edinburgh is thought to be attending along with his shotgun after he was heard muttering, “If you need a job done properly, you have to do it yourself.”
